Details

Description The Brunello di Montalcino of the Antinori family is a red wine born a few kilometers south of Montalcino, just above the Val d'Orcia. It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, and its name derives from a railway present on the property since the nineteenth century. Tasting Notes Antinori's Brunello di Montalcino has a ruby red color, intense and brilliant. The nose opens with a large bouquet of red fruit and a citrus trail. It also presents toasted and evolved aromas, with a spicy imprint and, finally, balsamic notes. The taste is as intense as the perfume and its long persistence amplifies the perception of pleasantness. This wine is ideal in combination with first and second courses of land, but also in accompaniment with aged cheeses. Processing After a careful selection of the grapes, the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place in steel tanks, subsequently Antinori's Brunello di Montalcino is aged in large oak barrels for over 2 years.
