TASTING NOTES: The 2015 Chasse-Spleen is medium garnet-purple in color with red currants, cassis and forest floor on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied and firm with tar notes, finishing a bit lean and green Sitting near the village of Arcins in the heart of the Médoc, Château Chasse-Spleen produces wine under the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation. Château Chasse-Spleen is a property of 80 hectares (198 acres) sitting on Garonne gravel and clay-limestone soils, and planted to 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 7% Petit Verdot. The vines, which average 30 years of age, are perched at the top of the hill of Grand Poujeaux. Château Chasse-Spleen also produces two second-label wines: L'Ermitage de Chasse-Spleen and l'Oratoire de Chasse-Spleen, both of which reflect the excellent quality of the Château Chasse-Spleen Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel.

Storage Instructions

Wine should be stored away from sunlight and fluorescent lights. The capscrew bottles can be placed vertically, while the cork bottles should be placed horizontally. Ideal storage temperature from 14-16 degrees, avoid storing wine in hot places above 24 degrees and avoid vibrations.
